1. Commitment to Net Zero
Toushi Gamble Ranking is fully committed to achieving Net Zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050 or sooner, in line with the UK’s legal obligations under the Climate Change Act 2008. Our leadership supports this goal and provides oversight to ensure ongoing progress.
2. Scope of Emissions Reporting
We will measure, report, and reduce the following:
- Scope 1: Direct emissions from fuel combustion in company vehicles or owned equipment.
- Scope 2: Indirect emissions from purchased electricity, heat, or cooling.
- Scope 3 (selected categories):
- Business travel
- Employee commuting
- Waste generated in operations
- Supplier logistics and distribution
3. Baseline Emissions & Reporting Period
An emissions baseline will be established based on the most recent full financial year. This will serve as the basis for tracking reductions. All reporting will occur annually and be updated within six months of our financial year-end.
4. Reduction Targets & Timeline
We aim to deliver a phased reduction strategy with clear milestones:
- Short-term (by 2028):
- Reduce Scope 2 emissions by 30% via renewable energy suppliers or energy efficiency.
- Reduce business travel emissions by 20% using remote meeting tools.
- Medium-term (by 2035):
- Achieve a 50% combined reduction of Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions.
- Encourage low-carbon commuting (e.g., cycling, public transport, hybrid vehicles).
- Long-term (by 2050):
- Reach net-zero emissions across all Scopes, balancing residual emissions with verified offsets if necessary.
5. Emission Reduction Strategies & Actions
- Transition to LED lighting and energy-efficient office equipment.
- Promote remote work or public transport for employees.
- Introduce a workplace recycling program and reduce paper usage.
- Integrate sustainability awareness and training into staff onboarding and communications.
6. Governance & Accountability
- The Carbon Reduction Plan is formally endorsed by the companyβs senior leadership and will be reviewed annually.
- A sustainability working group, drawing from various departments, will monitor progress and advise on strategy.
7. Publishing & Transparency
- This Plan will be published on the Toushi Gamble Ranking website, in a prominent location.
- Successive versions of the Plan will be retained publicly to demonstrate year-on-year progress.
8. Employee Engagement
- We’ll provide regular updates to staff on progress against targets and foster a culture of shared responsibility for sustainability.
- Training and practical tips on low-impact working (e.g., energy conservation, responsible travel) will be provided.
9. Review & Continuous Improvement
- Annual reviews will assess performance, refine targets, and introduce new initiatives as needed.
- Success metrics and public reporting will support transparency and accountability.
